new old toaster

i will confess that the seller's description on ebay was pretty funny.

This toaster is in perfect working order and is a timeless classic.   Current models retail for about $279.00.   Yes... for a toaster.  To make toast.   Anyway, the added bonus to this toaster is the toast is raised  via a lever rather than a spring.   Theoretically one could actually forcibly  (with surprisingly little force at all, mind you)  eject the toast from the toaster in such a way as to hit the ceiling...  In theory.   And it would actually be quite fun to do so.   In theory.   For the fully adventurous, one could then try to catch said slices of toast  on a plate upon the return trip from said trajectory.  In theory.   Happy bidding!

but we have been wanting one of these Dualit toasters for a long time.

 and it does make perfect toast!
